EYEBROW THREADING

Lasts: 2 to 6 Weeks

Pricing:

Eyebrow Threading: $12 - 15*

Eyebrow threading is a precise and gentle hair removal technique that uses a twisted cotton thread to shape the eyebrows. Unlike waxing or plucking, threading allows for more control, creating clean, well-defined brows with minimal skin irritation.

A typical threading session varies from 10 to 30 minutes and will last you about 2 to 6 weeks, depending on how long it takes for your hair to grow back. To learn more about the differences between waxing and threading, read my blog.

How to Prepare for your Threading Appointment

NOTE: DO NOT WEAR CONTACTS, THEY CAN CAUSE IRRITATION.

Clean Skin

Please do not come with any eyebrow gels, brow powders, or pencil on your eyebrows prior to your appointment.

Exfoliating

This is vital prior to your appointment; if tiny hairs are left under your skin, I may not be able to get them out.

Growth

Do not remove hair or trim your eyebrows prior to your appointment, as I use everything to shape your brows evenly.

Tweezing

Do not tweeze within a week of your threading appointment to avoid ingrown or short hairs I might not be able to get.

 FAQs

  • Eyebrow threading typically takes 10–30 minutes, depending on the amount of hair being removed.

  • It all comes down to your pain tolerance. Yes, it's true that most people cry, but it's not necessarily due to the pain. When your "holding" your skin tightly, you're pressing down on your eyes, which is where the tear duct is. Your eyes are naturally sensitive and can cause you to tear up without intending to. I've had first-timers who have never cried and then I'll have others-who have been getting it done for years, that cry every time. I will note that, I always give breaks in between and have been told I've got a delicate touch in comparison to any previous experience.

  • This varies person to person, as everyone's hair grows at different rates. It also depends on how tidy or shaped you want your eyebrows to look and how well you can maintain it. I'd say the average is about 3 weeks. I have A LOT of people come in between 2-3 weeks for eyebrow threading. I have even more who prefer it once a month. There is no right or wrong answer. When you feel you can't keep up with the tweezing at home or have an event coming up, come and see me! Be very careful tweezing though, you don't want to take off too much. The best way to tweeze is to remove the hair growing in WAY below your desired brow shape. If you take off too much, they will look uneven and it will be harder for me to match them.

  • Sometimes you can and sometimes you can't. If you are someone who gets their eyebrows done often, once every two weeks, your hair is not being given enough time to grow out and you should definitely come see me because I specialize in growth journeys. If you have naturally thicker brows, but someone took off too much, again come see me. Every time I see you, I will leave little hairs intact to realign your shape. This can take about 6 months on average and you must be patient and trust me. Now, if you naturally have "thinner" eyebrows (and "thin" can be very subjective), there is not much you can do except an eyebrow lamination or microblading (which I do not do). There are some natural remedies out there like castor oil, no scientific proof but it does help many people. I have a concoction of my own making, a product I sell, to help with this. It's made with hair stimulating oils like peppermint, rosemary, and others. If you want to try it, let me know and I'll put someone after your service.

  • Don’t wear contacts during your appointment to avoid eye irritation!

I always recommend exfoliating 1-3 days prior to your service to ensure that I can get all the hair out. With a faster cell regeneration rate (skin growth), it can be hard to remove the tiny or buried hair under your skin. After your threading session, be sure to wash your face when you get home. With the hair being pulled directly from the root, the pores are vulnerable to foreign microbes. Additionally, I recommend exfoliating the brow area at least once a week. This allows the hair to breathe and reduces the number of ingrown hairs, IF you're more prone to them. I recommend using a soft-bristled tooth brush to gently exfoliate using your normal face wash.

  • Yes, threading is generally safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It does not involve chemicals, making it suitable for people with skin sensitivities or those using certain topical treatments like retinols.

  • Unfortunately, you can get bumps on your skin after an eyebrow threading session. If you have very sensitive skin or poor skin hygiene, you may be more prone to these bumps. It’s important to note that after you get threaded, your pores are open and the existing bacteria on your skin can embed itself into the open pores. To avoid this, I recommend to wash your face with cold water and soap after your threading session.
