What do they do?

They work with local populations to develop eco-friendly practices, combat environmental threats like deforestation and pollution, and advocate for policies that balance conservation with human well-being.

  • The WWF protects places by conserving forests, oceans, and other critical ecosystems through habitat restoration, sustainable land management, and establishing protected areas like national parks and marine reserves. They also work with governments, local communities, and businesses to reduce deforestation, prevent pollution, and combat climate change to ensure long-term environmental sustainability.

  • The WWF helps animals by protecting their natural habitats, combating poaching, and advocating for stronger conservation policies. They also support endangered species through restoration projects, anti-wildlife trafficking efforts, and initiatives that promote coexistence between wildlife and local communities.

  • WWF helps companies with the implementation of emission reductions and scale other voluntary climate goals by providing guidance on climate leadership actions.
